If one goes beyond limits , he / she would not have substatial facts to prove it . This can be termed as a lie and one needs to stay away from this situation .
However philosophical it may sound , the ground rule is that one has to speak only the truth during interviews. The moment you lie ,it reflects on your confidence and you are in threat of making the interviewer a little suspicious about you .
